Nuh: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party saying that the party is shedding crocodile tears to change its disguise. Sonia, who was in Nuh in Haryana, said that the BJP is trying to hide its real face. "They (BJP) have only one target - that is the PM chair and for that they are misleading people," Sonia said.
Her fresh salvo comes just a hour after, Narendra Modi attacked Sonia over the Nido Taniam death case, Modi said, "Sadly Congress lacks any shame. A boy from here was killed. When Madam Sonia came to the Northeast, did she say a word on this," Modi questioned. Modi is campaigning in Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier, Sonia had accused BJP of playing divisive politics on Sunday. "There is a face-off of two ideologies. On one hand there is Congress that worked towards uniting people and on the other hand there are forces that have always tried to spread hatred and divide people," said Sonia during a rally in Assam on Sunday.
She had urged the people not to be swayed by the "false promises of the opposition" but be guided by their own good sense and take a decision to support the Congress and vote for its candidates.
