Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy is slated to address a seminar on the construction of the controversial Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Saturday.
The seminar is scheduled to be held at Delhi University.
Swamy had earlier said that the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya would begin by the end of 2016 with the cooperation of the Muslim community.
Congress student wing, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) is, meanwhile, gearing up to hold protests at the venue of the seminar.
This comes days after Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma raked up the Ram temple issue. Sharma claimed that the Central government was committed to the construction of the temple in Ayodhya where the Babri masjid was demolished back in 1992.
