Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal of the Congress has even gone to the Delhi High Court asking it to direct the Speaker to accept his resignation.
New Delhi: The Speaker of the Lok Sabha Meira Kumar says the resignation of 13 Seemandhra MPs is still under consideration. Thirteen MPs have sent their resignation letters to the Speaker, opposing the creation of Telangana state. Some of them are insisting that their resignation should be accepted.
Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal of the Congress has even gone to the Delhi High Court asking it to direct the Speaker to accept his resignation.
According to Lok Sabha Secretariat total 13 MP's have so far given resignation and 7 MP's have met the Speaker personally. Remaining six are yet to meet her. Under the rules 101(3) (b) she will enquire if it's voluntary or not? There is no time frame to accept the resignations.
