New Delhi: Former finance minister and BJP leader Jaswant Singh on Friday said that he would cooperate with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam. He said that he was glad that the CBI was performing its duty and investigating the scam.
"I am glad the CBI is performing its duty. What I remember I will tell them. I will cooperate with them fully," he said.
He, however, said that the CBI has not informed him about questioning him in the case.
"They haven't written to me on questioning, they haven't informed me at all," said Singh.
Adding that he believed there were no irregularities in the spectrum allocation, Singh said, "Rather than looking into the past, the CBI should look into the present."
The investigative agency had earlier noted that the tenure of former telecom ministers Arun Shourie and Pramod Mahajan should be investigated and the then finance minister Jaswant Singh should be questioned in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
