'The Greatest Bowler of the Generation': Fans Say After Virat Kohli Comes on to Complete Hardik Pandya's Over
Fans were happy to see Virat Kohli roll his arm over for a couple of balls to comeplete Hardik Pandya's over after the latter was off injured.

Virat Kohli rolled his arm over for a bowl during India’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 clash against Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday.

Pandya had just been hit for consecutive boundaries by Liton Das when he appeared to twist his ankle just three balls into his stint as first change in the ninth over.

Kohli bowled three balls after Hardik Pandya could not finish the ninth over the Bangladesh innings. The all-rounder was initially treated by the physio but still suffered with the issue to his left leg. The former Indian captain and arguably the best batter of his generation, Kohli took over the duty of completing the over.

When Rohit was asked about India’s bowling plans and lack of all-rounders or even batters who could pinch in with a few overs, as MS Dhoni’s Team India had in their 2011 World Cup-winning campaign, he had said: “But hopefully Sharma and Kohli can bowl some overs in the World Cup.”
