Director Shrikumar Menon, known for directing the Mohanlal starrer Odiyan, is gearing up for another collaboration with the superstar. A picture from the set of their upcoming project has circulated widely.
VA Shrikumar recently shared a photo on his Facebook account, giving a sneak peek from the film set. The image captures Mohanlal in a distinctive floral-printed shirt, hands raised, and gaze turned away from the camera.
Shrikumar’s caption, “My next film with dear Lalettan,” has raised speculations about their collaboration. Fans are actively discussing the possibility of this undisclosed project on social media. Despite the buzz, details such as the movie’s title and cast remain undisclosed at this time.

But now it has been clarified that the filmmaker was hinting at their next ad film with Mohanlal, not a feature film. Reports suggest that the actor-director collaborated on a new ad film for a renowned brand recently, with more updates expected soon.
Odiyan, directed by VA Shrikumar, revolves around the legend of the Odiyan clan, known for their purported shape-shifting abilities enabling them to transform into animals. The Malayalam fantasy drama marked Shrikumar’s feature film debut and featured Mohanlal, Prakash Raj, and Manju Warrier in pivotal roles.
After Odiyan, the actor-director duo faced another setback when their announced project, Randamoozham, was eventually shelved. Despite initial claims by director VA Shrikumar that he would direct the epic drama featuring Mohanlal. Later the project was shelved.
Confirming these reports, MT Vasudevan Nair, the renowned writer of the Randamoozham novel, took legal action against VA Shrikumar. Nair cited the filmmaker’s failure to fulfil the project within the stipulated contract period.
Mohanlal and VA Shrikumar reunited for a film titled Mission Konkan. The pan-Indian project commenced filming in 2021, featuring the superstar in a significant role alongside popular stars from South cinema and Bollywood. But the movie has faced indefinite delays due to various production issues, with no further updates available at this time.
