Adarsha Raitha To Online Madhuve Offline Shobana, Kannada Films Starring Newcomers Hit The Screens

Sandalwood is going to witness a host of fresh faces in films this year. Reports state that a number of films featuring newcomers are set to release in the coming days. No big releases are reportedly planned in the year’s first half. According to reports, 225 new films are released every year in Sandalwood. Among them, the big releases mostly happen during the end of the year. An example of that is Kaatera, which was released on December 29, last year. Under the direction of Tharun Sudhir, the film is successfully making waves at the box-office. It stars Darshan and Aradhana Ram in the leads, and is produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Reportedly, there were expectations that some big releases are to take place in the new year; but so far, nothing has been confirmed.

Names of new actors are doing rounds on the internet. A film directed by Rajendra Konadela, and stars the veteran actress Rekha Das, along with newcomers, releases today, on January 5. The film is titled Adarsha Raitha. As per the makers, this is the story of a farmer. Through this film, the hard work of a farmer and his life journey will be portrayed on-screen. Dr Amarnath Reddy, Khushi Mahato, Rekha Das, Sangeeta, Mysore Sujatha and Siddharth play lead roles in the film.

Another film is scheduled to release on the same day, which is titled Online Madhuve Offline Shobana. It is directed by Vempalli Bawaji, and includes Jaggappa, Sushmita and Seerunde Raghu in the cast.

One of the biggest Kannada releases this year is going to be Kantara Chapter 1, as per reports. The film is a prequel to the 2022 superhit Kantara. It is directed by Rishab Shetty, who is also the star of the film. Vijay Kiragandur has produced the film, under the banner of Hombale Films, and B Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music. It is being made under a reported budget of Rs 125 crore. It is set to release later this year, reports stated further.

The first film, Kantara was released on September 30, 2022, and became one of the biggest releases of the year. Other than Rishab Shetty as the lead, the film also starred Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, and Kishore.
