As Four Yash Fans Die In Two Days, Old Video Of Darshan's Advice Viral
Darshan, in the old clip, requested his fans to prioritise their family, rather than risking their lives to express love for actors.

Kannada actor Yash’s birthday on January 8 turned out to be a tragic experience for three of his fans. In a horrifying incident, three youths identified as Hanumanth Harijan (24), Murali Naduvinamani (20), and Naveen Gaaji (20) – residents of Surangi village, Gadag district, Karnataka –were electrocuted on Sunday night while erecting a hoarding to celebrate the KGF actor’s birthday. The death of the fans has left Yash numb. He said in a statement that he is scared of celebrating his birthday now. Amid this, an old video of Kannada actor Darshan is going viral on the Internet, in which he requested his fans to prioritise their family, rather than risking their lives to express their love for the actors.

Darshan, during his appearance at a pre-release event for his film Robert held at Hubballi railway grounds in 2021, had sent out a loud and clear message. This was not only his fans, but all the cinema enthusiasts. Sharing his concern, Darshan asked his fandom not to reach extremism; because due to an irresponsible act, the family of a particular person is compelled to suffer throughout their lives. “Due to the death of a person, everyone curses the respective actors for the rest of their lives,” Darshan said.

Speaking further, Darshan reminded the fans that their parents are waiting for them at home; if married, their child is relying on them for survival. He even asked, “Is it right to lose your life for the love towards an actor?”

Urging his fans to not risk their lives, Darshan said no one should encourage an expression of love in this manner and this ends up hurting a lot of people adding that being a fan is not a problem; but we do not want a fandom that risks their lives instead of thinking about their parents at home.

Yash is deeply shocked by the death of his fans. During an interaction with the media, Yash said on Monday, “I request my fans to stop erecting banners. If you want to show some affection towards me, make something out of your life.” He added, “I have started to feel an aversion towards my own birthday. It is not about monetary support that one can extend, but we cannot bring back the dead. I do now want anyone to risk your lives and bless me from wherever you are.”

What's your reaction?
