Thalapathy Vijay is back to entertain the masses again with his film, The Greatest of All Time aka GOAT, written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. This film is reportedly slated to be released at the cinemas in June or late 2024. Now, the curiosity around this film has increased a bit as there are rumours of an addition to the cast. There are rumours that the Ethirneechal fame actress Kaniha will act in this film. These rumours spread when Kaniha uploaded a picture of herself with Venkat Prabhu. She wrote in the caption, “@venkat_prabhu such a cool person to work with !!”. Kaniha mentioned 2024 in the hashtags. As per the IMDB data, Vekat has no film besides GOAT in his filmography as a director as of now. This implies that Kaniha has worked under him in this film only. It is further proved by the IMDB data that shows The Greatest of All Time in Kaniha’s filmography. Kaniha, however, has not shared any updates regarding this film on Instagram.

The Greatest of All Time boasts a stellar star cast comprising Jayaram, Yogi Babu, Raghava Lawrence, Prabhu Deva and others. Notably, GOAT went on floors under the working title Thalapathy 68 in October 2023. On December 31, 2023, the makers unveiled the first look and official title of the film. Following this, the second promotional photo was also released, leaving followers delighted for the release of the Vijay-starrer film. On January 15, the third promotional photo of this film was made public. There has been a considerable delay in the release date of The Greatest of All Time. It could be because GOAT is a science fiction film and therefore, will take a considerable time in post-production.
As per the reports, Netflix has bagged the streaming rights for the film. Reportedly, Netflix has paid a hefty amount to buy the same. As per reports, the makers are ensuring that the film’s release does not clash with any other project.
