This Sankranti season will see many Telugu films clashing with each other at the box office with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Ravi Teja’s Eagle, Teja Sajja’s HanuMan, Venkatesh Daggubati’s Saindhav, and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga slated to hit theatres on the festive occasion. Given the overcrowding and many highly anticipated films releasing on Sankranti, the makers of Eagle, headlined by Ravi Teja, have now postponed the release date of the film. The release date has been postponed to avoid a clash with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and the other films.
On January 5, Ravi Teja dropped a new poster on Instagram to update his fans and cinema enthusiasts about the new release date. He wrote, “Taking a step back for the welfare of our Telugu Cinema. A little change in the arrival not in the shot & target. #EAGLE from February 9th,2024 :)))) Wishing the very best to all the films releasing this Sankranthi (sic).”

As per the reports, the producers of the films organised a meeting regarding the Sanranti clash and came to a mutual decision. Speaking to the media about the same, producer Dil Raju informed, “‘Eagle’ will get a solo release on February 9. We also spoke to the ‘Tillu Square’ team, which is also slated to be released on the same day. Naga Vamsi agreed to postpone their film. We will discuss this with the Yatra 2 team asking them to postpone. This was done for the benefit of the Telugu film industry.”
Written and directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the action thriller film, Eagle, will feature Ravi Teja in the lead role. Besides Ravi, the film will also feature Anupama Parameswaran, Navdeep, Kavya Thapar, Srinivas Avasarala, and Madhoo in pivotal roles.
The trailer of the film has been launched and received a positive response from the audience, thereby fuelling anticipations of doing significant business. Produced by People Media Factory, the film has music composed by Davzand. Additionally, the editing was helmed by Karthik Gattamneni whereas Karthik Gattamneni, Kamil Plocki, and Karm Charla were tasked to handle the choreography for the film.
