Shruti Haasan To Join The Cast Of Yash-starrer Toxic? What We Know

Actress Shruti Haasan often makes news for her candid statements. This time, she is in the news for some other reason. According to reports, she has joined the cast of the upcoming film Toxic, where she will be starring alongside Yash. The film promises to be an action-packed entertainer, revolving around drug mafia. Set in Goa, the high-budget project is expected to boast grand production values. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film will reportedly feature Shruti Haasan as the lead actress. The makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding this. Shruti Haasan starred opposite Prabhas in her previous outing, Salaar. The reports have not stated anything about her role in Toxic.

Toxic is produced by Venkat K Narayana, under the banner of KVN Productions. The makers dropped a teaser last December, with the tagline ‘A fairytale for grown-ups’. The music of the film is composed by Charan Raj, who is known for films like Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, Mandya to Mumbai, and Bad Manners.

The movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 10, 2025, marking Yash’s comeback after the massive hit of KGF 2 in 2022. Fans are eagerly awaiting the grand release of the film.

Shruti Haasan is best known for Luck, Race Gurram, and 7aum Arivu. She last appeared in Salaar. Now, she is going to star in a slew of upcoming films including Sabaash Kundu, Rashna: The Ray of Right, Dacoit: A Love Story, and Salaar 2.

While talking about her upcoming movie Crew, Kareena dropped hints about being part of a big South Indian project. Even though she didn’t directly confirm it, her playful comments have stirred up excitement among her fans.
