Mammootty is one of the legendary actors in the Malayalam film industry. His prolific filmography includes the films A Northern Story of Valor, Mrigaya, and others. He is now looking forward to his much-hyped pan-India film Bramayugam directed by Rahul Sadasivan. Night Shift Studios unveiled the teaser of this film on November 11 and garnered more than 14,00,000 views. The teaser shows Arjun Ashokan entering an old mansion. All of a sudden, he is frightened to listen to a maniacal laughter, amidst pitch darkness. The teaser further shows Arjun’s character trying to escape the mansion, fearing the consequences. Bramayugam’s glimpse looks even more scary with the scary music and the monochrome images of the characters. The teaser ends featuring Mammootty blowing off a diya. By the looks of it, the movie is set in the past and promises a compelling watch comprising paranormal phenomena and dark magic.
Social media users loved the teaser. One of them commented," I can’t be more excited for this!!! The revival of the horror genre is desperately needed and Mamooka man, hats off to you legend!!!❤❤ At this age the man is supporting such fresh and new ideas while giving it his all as an actor!! After 2023, looking forward to 2024 to be a banger!!!". Another appreciated Mammootty and said that even at 70 he can play a wide range of characters.
Bramayugam dominated the headlines sometime back when Night Shift Studios unveiled the monochrome poster of actress Amalda Liz. The poster features Amalda adorned with a shiny camel belt around her waist, a leg bracelet, and a ring in her hand. She is also covered with long hair and adorned with various jewellery pieces. The highlight of this poster is that Amalda’s face is not visible which hints at an intriguing visual.
Details about Bramayugam are currently under wraps. The producers, however, have confirmed that the film will take an experimental approach. This includes elements of the supernatural and mysticism. Mammootty is set to play the antagonist in Bramayugam which will be released at the cinemas on February 15. It also stars Sidharth Bharathan and Manikandan R Achari.
