On the special occasion of Pongal, many Tamil and Telugu films are all set to be released for movie lovers. The much-awaited Tamil movies Captain Miller and Ayalaan were also on the list. Both movies were officially announced to be released in Telugu on the same date in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Now, as per the latest reports, the Telugu release of these films is being postponed. Pongal is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Tamil Nadu. The Sankranti festival will be celebrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Many films will be released on the occasion of Sankranti. This year, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh Daggubati’s Saindhav, the period action drama film Naa Saami Ranga, and HanuMan – all these are lined up for releases on this special occasion. Captain Miller and Ayalaan have also announced their releases for January 12.
As per the latest reports, the Telugu version of Captain Miller and Ayalaan which was earlier announced to be released on the same date of January 12, is now facing the problem of the availability of theatres. So the makers have now decided to delay its release date. The release date of the Telugu version of both films is expected to be announced later. The news has disappointed the fans.
Captain Miller is an upcoming Tamil-language action adventure film, directed by Arun Matheswaran and starring Dhanush in the title role. It is slated to be released in both 2D and IMAX formats globally on January 12, during the week of Pongal. The film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, and Edward Sonnenblick in the supporting roles.
Ayalaan, a science fiction film directed by R Ravikumar and produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under KJR Studios, is all set to hit theatres on January 12. Bala Saravanan, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Isha Koppikar, Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, and Bhanupriya will be seen playing the lead roles in the movie.
