Actor and journalist Bayilvan Ranganathan, known for his controversial statements about film personalities, is once again in the spotlight. Recent reports indicate that he has made statements about the drinking habits of South Indian acting legends Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, garnering significant attention online.
Bayilvan Ranganathan is no stranger to making bold statements about celebrities, having previously commented on the personal lives of figures such as Nayanthara, Trisha, Rekha Nair, Dhanush, Goundamani, and Vadivelu. In a recent interview, he shared insights into the drinking habits of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
According to Ranganathan, he was invited to a marriage party organized by Rajinikanth, where he claimed the superstar had an array of wine but no side dishes. In the interview, Ranganathan asserted that nobody dared to question the absence of side dishes, prompting him to inquire directly. Rajinikanth allegedly responded with, “This is Rajini’s style. Drinking like this is good for the body.” Ranganathan, however, expressed his concern, stating that the absence of side dishes might cause stomach issues for everyone. He claimed that Rajinikanth immediately ordered side dishes after the suggestion and mentioned the actor’s dislike for rice, curd, and milk.
Shifting focus to Kamal Haasan’s drinking habits, Ranganathan noted that they differ significantly from Rajinikanth’s. According to him, Kamal Haasan enjoys non-vegetarian food and offers a variety of dishes on his film sets. Additionally, Kamal Haasan reportedly drinks only with close friends and maintains a habit of waking up at 4 am despite consuming alcohol earlier.
Rajinikanth’s last appearance was in the film Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, which became one of the major hits of 2023. The movie featured Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Sunil. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is set to appear in the Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD and the highly anticipated Indian 2.
Bayilvan Ranganathan’s statements have sparked discussions online, once again highlighting his penchant for making controversial remarks about notable figures in the South Indian film industry.
