'Why Should We Suffer?' Rajinikanth’s Neighbours On His Fans Crowding The Locality

Superstar Rajinikanth’s immense fandom is almost unparalleled. He is, without doubt, one of the most revered figures in Tamil Nadu. Despite not belonging to the Tamil diaspora himself (he is of Marathi origin), the way Rajinikanth has reached the pinnacle of success as a leading man in Tamil cinema is commendable. The mass hysteria around the actor is evident from the fact that large crowds gather outside his residence on his birthdays and other festivals. On festive days like Pongal, Diwali and Labor Day, Rajinikanth comes out of his Poes Garden home and waves to fans. His fans usually wait for hours to catch a glimpse of him on these days. Even if Rajinikanth is enjoying the massive love from the crowds outside his house, his neighbours are apparently facing inconveniences due to this. The noise and ruckus created by the fans in the residential area has caused irritation to some of his neighbours.

In a video that is doing the rounds, an elderly lady who lives in the vicinity came out and expressed her anguish. She said that on every festival, noise is heard from outside the house right from early in the morning. She said that even on a holiday, she is unable to relax at home. “We also pay taxes, why should we suffer,” she is heard saying, while adding that Rajinkanth should meet his fans somewhere away from the house.

Rajinikanth expressed his Pongal greetings recently and said, “I pray to God that everyone should be happy with health and peace of mind on this Pongal. If there is discipline in life and honesty in thinking, life will be peaceful, and will be happy,” he said.

Rajinikanth is currently filming Vettaiyan, in Puducherry. The actors’ latest poster was released by the makers to celebrate the happy occasion of Pongal. In addition to Rajinikanth, important roles in the movie are played by Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati.
