Android Users Will Soon Have The Power To REMOVE Apps From PC, Phone Or Watch: Here’s How
Play Store apps can be accessed using Google account from any device but soon you can even remove the apps.

Imagine if you had the power to delete apps from your account from any device. Google is planning to give Android users that ability in the near future, as long as they are using the same account on all the devices. Android users already had the option to install apps on multiple devices running on the same account.

But the upcoming Google Play Store version will let you do both install and uninstall from any account-linked device. The feature called remote app install is teased to work across devices like PC, watch, TV and even auto, which means cars running on Android Auto probably. Google will let you select the apps to uninstall based on their size, device and more once you get the Play Store 38.8 update on your supported devices.

The feature hasn’t officially come out yet but the teasers give us a glimpse of how people can expect the uninstall tool work. Google account does work across different platforms which includes Android, Android TV, ChromeOS, Android Auto and WearOS among others. It makes sense to integrate all these devices if they are using the same account.

Apple has done this quite well for years, allowing you to pair a Mac with an iOS or iPad device using wireless features. It makes a lot of sense for Google to introduce a similar cross-device feature, especially when people might find it hard to remove apps from their car’s Android console or even their smart TV for that matter.

In other Google news, the company is finally bringing the cookie-blocking feature to Chrome users in early 2024. Google’s Privacy Sandbox has been in the works for a few years now, but around 30 million users can test drive the privacy feature in January with more to be added later next year.
