New Delhi: Apple finally seems to have realised there are plenty of in-built apps iPhone users just don’t need.
For long, iPhone users have been put off by the number of apps which do no good to them other than lying on their phone and eating up space.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the issue of removing certain apps is more complex than it appears. He explained, “there are some apps which are linked to something else on the iPhone and if they were to be removed they might cause issues elsewhere on the device.”
However, there are some apps which aren’t linked and could be removed. Cook said that the company will “figure out a way” to help users do this.
Although Cook didn’t reveal by when Apple would extend the ability to users to delete unnecessary, junk apps, he simply stated that it was, “something we’re looking at.”
With the iOS 9 update coming today, we could expect changes in the way apps work.
