Apple’s Next Vision Headset Could Use iPhone To Run Apps And More: What It Means
Apple is planning to use external hardware to run the rumoured affordable Vision headset that will be launching late next year.

Apple Vision Pro is making its way to more countries this month but behind the scenes the company is already planning for the next version. Reports say Apple is now ready to focus on the affordable headset which is likely to take support from iPhone or even Mac to run the apps and more. The Bloomberg report hints at Apple’s supposed cost-cutting measure to keep the next headset affordable than the Pro version.

One might say that Samsung pulled off this trick with its headset many years back that was able to run thanks to the premium Samsung Galaxy phones. Apple following this strategy could allow the company to reduce its funds on hardware power and even the screen doesn’t need to be as powerful as the Vision Pro.

The report points out that the affordable Vision headset prototype has a narrower field of view which means you will need external support to run the apps and to see them on the screen as well. Recently, we heard about the affordable Vision headset getting the priority as the plans for the second-gen premium Vision Pro have taken a hit.

However, Bloomberg claims that Apple has no plans to abandon the premium headset but it will now look at a later launch timeline, with the supposed Vision model making its debut by late 2025.

It remains to be seen how much affordable can Apple make the next headset, even if it needs external hardware to run. After all, this is Apple we are talking about, and the company’s record for affordable products haven’t exactly panned out the way many think it would. So we would prefer to wait for more details about this Vision headset and see how Apple decides to bring it to the market.
