Facebook Predicted To Be All Video In 5 years
One of the greatest examples of it is the popularity of 'Facebook Live' among the users including the CEO Mark Zuckerberg's live conversation with astronauts in space station.

The recent updates in Facebook have been more about integrating videos either in the form of GIFs or long videos and the trend is only going to continue according to the social networking giant's senior executive.

At a recent press conference, Nicola Mendelsohn, Vice President, Facebook Operations, said that in five years, “Facebook will be probably all video.”

He further added that “video is the best way to tell stories in this world” and “helps us to digest much more information with a year on year decline of text.” He also predicted obsolescence of written word on the social networking site, Mashable reports.

One of the greatest examples of it is the popularity of ‘Facebook Live’ among the users including the CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s live conversation with astronauts in space station.

The users have also been increasingly using motion emoticons, GIFs and short videos in place of giving or uploading textual responses or status.

Another popular feature is 360 degree videos and photos and inclusion of virtual reality that has further endorsed non – text – based ways to share life and events with friends and followers.
