Launched today in India, Google’s Daydream View headset and controller will be available on Flipkart for Rs 6,499 starting today.
Designed and developed by Google, Daydream View delivers simple, high-quality VR. With Daydream View, users can experience sports, live events and more in full 360° panoramic view. Plus, now Indian users can watch shows and movies on their own virtual big screen.
Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL are the first Daydream-ready phones. Apart from this, the Daydream View will also be available on the Moto Z and will come soon to Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Daydream-ready phones are built with high-resolution displays, powerful mobile processors and high-fidelity sensors—all tuned to support enhanced VR experiences.

The Google Daydream View headset is made with soft, breathable fabric and is designed to fit over eyeglasses. The phone and headset have an auto-alignment system so there are no cables or connectors.
The Daydream View controller lets users interact with the virtual world the same way they interact with the real world around them. Daydream View is packed with sensors that respond precisely to a user’s movement and gestures — swing it like a cricket bat or wave it like a magic wand. When users are done using the controller, it can easily be slid into a specially-created area within the headset.

With YouTube VR, users can watch the entire library of videos on a virtual big screen and experience VR videos from creators from around the world. Additionally, users can use Street View to see curated tours of over 150 places like the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal.
A virtual gallery can be used to view masterpieces from over 50 world-renowned museums with Arts & Culture. With Play Movies, users can watch shows and films on their own personal big-screen. Even Google Photos will display the 360° captures of the users in a VR experience.
Apps and games on Daydream include NYT VR, Guardian VR, The Turning Forest, Labster: World of Science, Netflix VR, Google Play Movies, Within, Fantastic Beasts, The Arcslinger, Wonderglade, Mekorama VR, Gunjack 2: End of Shift, Need for Speed™ No Limits VR, LEGO BrickHeadz Builder VR and more.
The Google Daydream View comes with launch offers. PhonePe users on Flipkart that buy Daydream via UPI will get a flat Rs 300 off on payment. Also, the first 30 customers will receive a Google Chromecast free, and the first 50 customers will receive a Google Play Store Credit worth Rs500.
