Jio is also the only operator with a 5G standalone architecture and using advanced tech like carrier aggregation and network slicing to stay ahead of the curve and utilise the best of the 5G networks.

“Jio also has acquired over 350 patents in 5G and 6G technologies that are key to Jio’s place at the forefront of global innovation,” Mukesh Ambani said during his address. He also pointed out that nearly all smartphones above Rs 8,000 sold in India are 5G-ready, they are now looking to make India 2G-Mukt by helping the 2G users migrate to 5G which further boosts data consumption in the country.

Jio AirFiber also has big plans for the future and it already caters to 30 million households with its Wi-Fi service and is aggressively pushing towards its goal of 100 million customers in the next few years.
