New Delhi: In a twin leak by serial tipster @OnLeaks, details of Google's second Nexus smartphone by South Korean electronics giant LG have also been revealed.
Wide speculations indicate the coming of new Nexus smartphones from two different manufacturers. While the one by Huawei is expected to either sport a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch display; the LG-made new Nexus smartphone is expected to sport a slightly smaller 5.2-inch display.
As uSwitch Tech notes, metal framed with a plastic rear, the LG Nexus 5 2015 (as the handset will be called) will come with a rear fingerprint scanner, in continuation with the company’s similar experiment with rear buttons as seen in LG G3 and G4 models.
The renders indicate that the fingerprint scanner will sit beneath the protruding camera on the upcoming LG Nexus 5 smartphone. The front will sport dual-stereo speakers.
There have also been speculations that the LG-made Nexus will come with a superior 3D camera and run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and be the first smartphone based on Android M.
The new leaks indicate that the handset will be 146.9mm high, 72.9mm wide and 8mm thick, thickest at 9.8mm due to the protruding camera.
Both Huawei Nexus 6 and LG Nexus 5 are expected to feature the latest USB Type-C port, which is a reversible port for both charging and output.
Google is expected to unveil the new Nexus devices in October or November.
