It's time for the next version of Android, Apple Pay challenger and much more. Google, which has has its two-day annual developers' conference scheduled for May 28 and May 29, is all set to announce a plethora of products and services at the keynote address today in San Francisco. If rumours are to be believed, Google’s Android Lollipop could witness a successor - unofficially dubbed, Android M. The next version of Android OS is expected to have more robust security by allowing users to have more control over personal data such as phone numbers, locations, names and addresses.
The search engine giant could also introduce a mobile payment service, possibly replacing the older Google Wallet service. In tune with Google’s plans of segregating the photos service from its Google+ social network, we might as well be able to see that coming true at this year’s conference. Venturing into the connected-car field, Google could throw some light on its Android Auto dashboard system.
The keynote address kicks off at 10:00 PM IST.
