Chinese technology giant OnePlus has launched its flagship premium smartphone, the OnePlus 12 5G, in its home country. The smartphone boasts top-end features and specifications, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Gen 3 chipset, a 2K AMOLED LTPO screen, a substantial 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W charging, and much more.
OnePlus 12 Price, Colours Options And Availability
The OnePlus 12 is up for pre-order in China, starting at 4,299 Yuan for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage (around Rs 50,700). The smartphone comes with Leave blank (white), green, and Iwaguro (black) colour options. While the company has announced a global release in early 2024, there’s no information yet on the pricing for the Indian model.

The successor of the OnePlus comes with a 6.82 inches 2K Super Fluid AMOLED display with LTPO, with an incredible peak brightness of 4500nits. It includes support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, and HDR Vivid, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 12 display has received an A+ certification from DisplayMate, indicating excellent colour accuracy and brightness.
The OnePlus 12 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset — Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, offering faster Kryo CPU (30 per cent improvement) and GPU (25 per cent improvement) speeds with improved power efficiency. It is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM supported by RAM-Vitalization and ROM-Vitalization.
The smartphone runs on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box and packs a large 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W charging and 50W wireless charging. The company claims that the OnePlus 12 has the largest cooling system of any OnePlus device, which might help if you play games or perform intensive tasks on the phone for a long duration.
Coming to the camera specifications, the OnePlus 12 features a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor using Sony LYT-808 with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. It also includes a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, the premium phone is equipped with a 32MP front-facing shooter. It is also equipped with the latest self-developed HDR algorithm.
