New Delhi: Samsung has launched three new variants of its Gear S2 smartwatch along with a range of new apps and dial faces in India.
The Gear S2 smartwatch features a 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED display, 1.0GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, and runs on Tizen-based wearable platform.
Adding to the existing choices, the Gear S2 Classic edition will now be available in 18K Rose Gold and Platinum variants. There is a third variant - Gear S2 White- that comes with a sporty white elastomer strap.
The new options together take the number of variants in India to five- Gear S2 Classic Black, Gear S2 Classic Rose Gold, Gear S2 Classic Platinum, Gear S2 Black, and Gear S2 White. The new variants come with premium leather straps; Ivory White for the Rose Gold variant and Black for the Platinum version.
Gear S2 owners now also have a range of dial faces to choose from; including animated art of Peanuts to functional dial faces that show notifications, reminders, health goals, etc.
The South Korean electronics maker has further added new apps to its smartwatch which include- UBER, G’Night Sleeptracker, MyNotes and the new YouTube browsing app Xenozu. The smartwatch will also feature a host of new games which make use of the intuitive rotating bezel as a natural game controller. Some of the new games include Hextris, Vroom Rider, Hangman, Space Wars & Snake, among others.
The Gear S2 Classic Rose Gold and Platinum variants are priced at Rs 34,900 while the Gear S2 White costs Rs 24,300.
