Verified profiles will have a blue check symbol next to the image.
New Delhi: Just like on Twitter, Tinder users will no longer be able to spoof or pretend to be celebrities or public figures.
On social networks, hoax accounts are often more entertaining than those from the real celebrities. But dating is a serious business, even when it's via an app.
So now, if Britney Spears or any other famous person, public figure or well-known athlete appears in your recommendations, if there's a blue check symbol next to the image, it's definitely not an imposter.
Tinder announced in 2014 that it was going to integrate verified profiles into the app, but the feature only went live on Tuesday.
