Gmail is used by billions across the globe and all these users had to tackle some issue which delayed their ability to send or receive mail this week. Google hasn’t shared the exact reasons for the issue yet but assures the details will be posted after it thoroughly investigates the matter. The problem has now been fixed so your mails should be going through seamlessly.
People reportedly noticed that mails being sent through Gmail were not being delivered straight away and the delay issue was observed by many Gmail users. Google has confirmed the issue and it seems the problem wasn’t affecting Gmail users across the globe, as reported by Downdetector.
We didn’t personally see any issues with getting emails on Gmail so it was probably limited to select countries. It is better to wait for Google to share the details of the issue where it will also highlight the countries that were affected by these delays. Gmail is a popular mailing tool for Windows, Android and even Mac users. It has Chrome-like share in the market, where you also have Apple Mail, Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird among others.
Google does cater to paid users via Workspace and free Gmail users who get benefits like 15GB storage combined in quota for Photos, Drive and even your WhatsApp chat backup. Workspace plans start with 100GB which comes for a monthly fee of Rs 130 for users in India.
