Twitter disables playable MS-DOS game embeds in tweets
Last week, users were able to embed links of their favourite MS-DOS games into a Tweet which were playable within the post.

New Delhi: Soon after Twitter users discovered a way to embed classic MS-DOS games right into a tweet, the microblogging site disabled the ability as a playable game within the site was against its policies.

Last week, users were able to paste links of their favourite MS-DOS games from the Internet Archive and embedding the links into a Tweet led to a playable window within the post.

According to The Guardian, embedding interactive media, and specifically games, within Twitter Cards is against Twitter’s terms of service.

The rules advise against building of “end-to end interactive experiences inside the video or audio player unrelated to Player Card content, such as the following: purchasing, gaming, polling, messaging, and data entry.”

You can still share links from the Internet Archive’s 2,600 strong collection of emulated MS-DOS games. Sadly, you can’t play them within the tweet.
