New Delhi: The latest to come out from the sea of changes outgoing CEO Dick Costolo feels ‘over the moon’ is Twitter’s intention to replace the star icon to favourite a tweet with a new heart symbol.
Under what appears like a new experiment, some Android users are being presented with a new heart button to save or favourite a tweet.
A report on Mashable notes that Twitter is testing the change in two variations: circled hearts or borderless hearts.
Earlier this week, Costolo said the upcoming features will create engaging experiences that appeal to broad audiences. He also indicated the new features will generate more advertising.
As it is currently only an experiment that Twitter is conducting, the new symbol may or may not see the light of the day on the 140-character microblogging site.
