Xiaomi has announced ‘Mi exchange program’ on Tuesday in collaboration with the Delhi-based firm Cashify. Under the program, those interested to purchase a new Xiaomi device may exchange their old smartphones in exchange for a discount upon the price of a new Xiaomi smartphone. The value of the old smartphone will be determined by the Cashify team, following which an equivalent price cut can be availed on the Xiaomi smartphone. In order to have an idea of the resale value of their old smartphone beforehand, users can also log on to the Cashify website.
Cashify will also provide pick-up service for the old smartphone to be exchanged by the user in which case, users will have to make the complete payment of the new Xiaomi smartphone at the Mi Home. Cashify will then pay them back in exchange for their old smartphone at a later stage.

The terms and conditions for this program list that the exchange offer will be limited to one device per purchase and that the device’s valuation will be done on the basis of the device’s condition.
The new program by Xiaomi has been launched just days after the Chinese smartphone company ranked alongside Samsung as the Top smartphone vendor in India. Through this program, Xiaomi aims to further its offline presence.
