Xiaomi has introduced some performance upgrades to its Mi Notebook Air launched last year in July. The new 13.3-inch variants of the laptop come as direct competitors to the Apple’s famous MacBook Air line-up.
Xiaomi claims to have boosted the performance of its Mi Notebook Air line-up by 10 percent, thanks to the latest Kaby Lake processors by Intel. The seventh-gen Intel Core i7 and the Intel Core i5 Processors are now being used in its top variant and other 2 variants respectively.
Another addition is a fingerprint sensor on the new Mi Notebook Air. The notebook now sports a fingerprint sensor placed on the top-right of the trackpad. The sensor can be used to unlock the Mi Notebook Air and will also act as a biometric security, for online payments, logins and more.
The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air variants come with an 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128/ 256GB of internal storage. The Notebooks also see a 3x improvement in graphic performance with a 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card now added to them.

The 12.5-inch variant of the Mi Notebook Air is now being powered by a seventh-gen Intel Core M3 Processor for a 12 percent improvement in its overall performance.
The battery life as per the company claims stands at 9.5 hours for the 13.3-inch Notebook variants while the 12.5-inch variant promises 11.5 hours of battery life.
All the Mi Notebook Air models still support 4G LTE modems.

13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air ( Intel Core i5; 8GB RAM; 128GB Storage) : CNY 4,999 (~ Rs 51,400)
13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air ( Intel Core i5; 8GB RAM; 256GB Storage) : CNY 5,499 (~ Rs 52,100)
13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air ( Intel Core i7; 8GB RAM; 256GB Storage) : Not yet announced
The Intel Core i5 Processor variants of the Mi Notebook Air will be available from June 18 on the online Xiaomi store, mi.com
