New Delhi: Announced in June, Google’s live streaming gaming service, YouTube Gaming, has been made live today.
YouTube Gaming seeks to compete with Twitch - a video network for watching video game players play video games- that Google lost to Amazon for $970 million.
The service, focused solely on gamers and gaming, will start with more than 25,000 games, each having their own page on the site, bringing videos and live streams about various titles together in a single space.
Users will be able to add games to their collection for quick access, subscribe to channels, and receive recommendations on new games based on the games and channels they follow.
The English language version of YouTube Gaming will be available anywhere YouTube is accessible, and the iOS and Google Play apps are currently available in the US and UK, with more countries following soon.
