In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande opened up about her breakup with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. As reported by E-Times, Ankita was speaking to her co-contestant Navid Sole during the live stream when she mentioned that the breakup was ‘painful’. She stated that it was a long relationship and therefore was very tough for her to move on.
Reportedly, Ankita mentioned that after she parted ways with Sushant, it took her two and a half years for her to move on. She told Navid that she used to tell Vicky Jain (who was her boyfriend at that time) that her ex would return to her. Ankita went on to claim that even though Sushant had moved on after their break-up, they could not imagine herself dating somebody else for a long time. Ankita further mentioned that she went through a lot during that phase but did not stop believing in love.
Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput met for the first time on the sets of Ektaa Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta. They played the role of Manav and Archana respectively and their chemistry was widely loved by all. They dated for a few years before they parted ways. Sushant went on to focus on his Bollywood career. His sudden death in June 2020 left everyone shocked. Sushant was dating actress Rhea Chakraborty at the time of his death.
Ankita often talks about Sushant. In an earlier interview with E-Times, Ankita shared that Sushant was never depressed when the couple was together from 2009 to 2016.“It is not easy for a man to watch his to-be wife giving interviews on her ex-boyfriend on television and talking about her past. There were different stories emerging everyday and I was right there talking about Sushant all the time. Vicky comes from a very respectable family. I remember they called me and supported me saying, ‘Don’t worry, all will be well’,” she said.
