Bigg Boss 17: Munawar Faruqui Gets Support From Former Participants Karan Kundrra, Shiv Thakare
Munawar had a large fan base but his stint on the show brought him to the limelight and increased his following. Even some former Bigg Boss contestants are rooting for him owing to his straightforward strategy on the show.

Bigg Boss 17 has created quite a buzz within the first few weeks, and viewers have also started rooting for their favourite contestants. Every contestant is trying to make their game plan stronger and survive on the show. While most contestants have become popular, one among them, Munawar Faruqui, has reportedly become the fan favourite. The comedian no doubt had a large fan base but his stint on the show brought him to the limelight and increased his following. Even some popular former Bigg Boss contestants are rooting for him owing to his straightforward strategy on the show.

Karan Kundrra, who was part of Bigg Boss 15, is currently busy with his new show, Temptation Island. However, amid his busy schedule, he managed to watch snippets of the show and is rooting for Munawar Faruqui this season. A report by India Today quoted him as saying, “The day we started shooting for ‘Temptation’ was the day ‘Bigg Boss’ too started airing. And given that we are on an island, we have no WiFi here. However, I watched snippets of the show, and I must tell you I have my little brother, Munawar, there. I have this attachment to him and I think my prayers are always with him. I would send my well-wishes to everybody but, I have my bias towards him.”

Further, talking about how the reality show changes the lives of many celebrities, Karan shared, “There is an image that went along with me into ‘Bigg Boss’. People reacted to what came later and exclaimed that we did not expect you to be like this or like that. But for me, ‘Bigg Boss’ is something that exposes your real personality and your real self to people.” He added that while he had done other reality and fictional shows, those did not allow him to show his real personality. After Bigg Boss, his followers understood who he was and formed their opinions based on that.

Meanwhile, Shiv Thakare, who was one of the finalists on Bigg Boss 16 last year, has also extended his support for Munawar Faruqui. Thakrey stated in a report by India Forums, “Being a Bigg Boss fan, I think there is only one guy who deserves to win, and that is Munawar. He has a sense; he knows how to play; he is showing his real side and is not fighting unnecessarily.”

Bigg Boss 17 premiered on October 15 with a slew of celebrities like Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, and others.
