Entrepreneur Azhar Iqubal Joins Shark Tank India 3 Panel, Says ‘Mother’s Phone Kept Ringing For 24 Hours’
Inshorts CEO Azhar Iqubal, who hails from a small village in Bihar said that “For the past 10 years, people in my village were unaware of my work.”

Shark Tank India will be returning with its third season. The business reality television series will start airing on Sony TV on January 22. The past two seasons of the program witnessed the arrival of many budding entrepreneurs, wishing to venture into the business world. Shark Tank India’s upcoming season has created quite a stir amongst the audience. This time, the show is expected to be presented on a grander scale with the presence of 12 judges aka Sharks, each a stalwart in their respective industries. Additionally, the series will be introducing a fresh new face, acting as a Shark. He is none other than the co-founder and CEO of enterAzhar Iqubal.

Azhar Iqubal, who hails from a small village in Bihar revealed in an interaction with ETimes that people in his community were not quite aware of his successful entrepreneurial journey. In fact, for the past 10 years, they were oblivious to the work he was associated with. “For the past 10 years, people in my village were unaware of my work. The details about me remained a mystery to most of them," he said. Iqubal added that after the makers of Shark Tank India released his picture and those of the other Sharks who will grace the show, the villagers learned about his job.

Azhar Iqubal continued that his mother was overjoyed when the show’s promo “went live". She claimed that before then, no one in the village knew Iqubal’s name, but after that day, he became popular. “She added her phone kept ringing for over 24 hours after the promo went live with wishes pouring in from every corner," he said. Calling it a heart-touching moment, Iqbal added, “People were proud that a boy from a small village in Bihar could dream big and disrupt the Indian digital media landscape."
