Dhanashree Verma, wife of India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, is frequently in the spotlight due to her impressive social media presence. Currently, she has earned a spot on the 11th season of the dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a wild card contestant. While she is competing against some of the best performers, she has surely made an impression with her talent and dedication. In her latest interview, she spoke about her experience on the show as well as what Yuzvendra Chahal thinks about her new venture.
Speaking about her husband Yuzvendra Chahal’s reaction to her participation in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, Dhanashree Verma told ETimes, “Yuzvendra is very supportive and unhone kaha mujhe aap jao show karo acche se… He told me I’m the best and I should do good on the show. We both support each other a lot.” She also added that her family was also very supportive when they got the news of her participation, however, asked her to be careful as she has “an injury and it should worsen from this stage.”
About the show and the contestants, Dhanashree Verma told the portal, “The competition is quite tough on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Adrija Sinha is a good dancer and I consider her as my competition. Also, if I see the overall competition, everyone is doing really great and it’s quite tough to pick just one name. Everyone has grown on the show and have come so far in the competition. But I know I’m part of a competition and it first starts with myself and then other contestants.”
Apart from Dhanashree Verma, former Bigg Boss OTT participant Manisha Rani has also joined the dance reality show as a wild card contestant. Dhanashree mentioned that Manisha has a huge fan base, and since the format of the show is based on the audience’s votes as well, she can be proved a strong competitor. Moreover, she exclaimed that all three judges were quite welcoming, but she is more excited to know what Farah Khan thinks of her performances since it has been her dream to work with her.
Meanwhile, Shiv Thakare, Shoaib Ibrahim, Sangeeta Phogat, Tanishaa Mukerji, Anjali Anand, and others are competing in the current season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The show is presented by Gauahar Khan and Rithvik Dhanjani, and it is judged by Arshad Warsi, Farah Khan, and Malaika Arora.
