Mannara Chopra Slams Akasa Air For ‘Rude’ Behaviour, Airline Gives Shocking Reply

Mannara Chopra has been dominating headlines ever since she appeared on Salman Khan’s popular show, Bigg Boss 17. Mannara was named the second runner-up after months of engaging the audience on the show. While the actress is busy with her project post-show, she recently addressed an issue she faced while travelling. Mannara slammed the airline company, Akasa Air, for their behaviour while she was taken ill on a flight.

Mannara Chopra, who found herself in an unconventional circumstance while on an Akasa Air flight, took to X (Formerly Twitter) to express her plight. The celebrity recalled that the first time she was flying with Akasa Air; the crew was responsible for damaging her luggage. This was the second time she chose to fly with the same airline, and this time they were very disrespectful to her while she was unwell. She wrote, “The worst airlines to travel with Akasa Air. This is my second experience with them, the first time I travelled they damaged my bag and this time I’m not feeling well. They ended up being rude again.”

The airline replied to her complaint and wrote, “We regret to hear about your experience, Mannara. We understand that our team met you at the airport and explained the excess baggage policy. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to waive the fee.” However, Mannara was not happy with their response and maintained her stance that the employee was rude, even when she informed them that she was unwell. She added, “Your manager was not even courteous enough to come and understand the issue.”

Mannara gained a lot of recognition during her time on Bigg Boss 17. She is a cousin of the global star Priyanka Chopra. Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she shared about how her sister helped her establish her career in the industry. Mannara said, “My sister, Priyanka, she got me a photoshoot with Avinash Gowariker at that point of time and maine toh wo bas pictures li, pata nahi wo kaise circulate ho gayi, wo aise hi generally karaya tha, you know you need a photo. And wahan se mujhe calls aane lage auditions ke.”

Mannara has appeared in numerous Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. Mannara was part of Rouge (2017) directed by Puri Jagannadh, Anubhav Sinha’s Zid (2014), Prema Geema Jantha Nai (2014), Jakkanna (2016), Thikka (2016) and Sita (2019). Most recently, she appeared on a music video, Saanware with her Bigg Boss 17 co-contestant Abhishek Kumar.
