Television sensation and actor Simba Nagpal is all set to grace the screens once more with his presence in a new and exciting role. Reportedly, he is all set to join the ensemble of the show, Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ka. Previous speculations around Simba Nagpal potentially taking the lead role in Rashmi Sharma’s Aaena can now be put to rest, as it is now officially confirmed that he will not be part of that project. Instead, this talented actor, well-known for his portrayal in Naagin 6, will undertake the role of the parallel lead in Ekta Kapoor’s daily soap and share the screen with the lead actors Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon.
This series, already boasting a stellar cast will welcome Simba Nagpal into the fold, where his character, named Dev, is poised to play a pivotal role. Dev’s character is expected to introduce a fresh dose of energy and dynamics to the storyline, infusing it with a new layer of intrigue and romance, according to TOI.
Quoting a source closely associated with the show’s production, TOI writes, “Simba has finalised to play the parallel lead in Barsatein. His character Dev will be the perfect guy any girl can dream of. He will be seen supporting Aradhna (Shivangi Joshi) in all her endeavours. His entry will result in a major turn in the storyline.”
Best known as Virat Singh in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which also marked his acting debut in the Hindi television industry, Simba Nagpal was last seen as Rishabh Gujral in Naagin 6. He was also a part of the 15th season of reality show Bigg Boss.
Discussing his role preferences, Nagpal disclosed in a prior TOI interview, “I’ve declined numerous leading roles in TV shows because they lacked substantial depth. I remain open to daily soap operas, but the character must be exceptional. Fictional shows are my forte, and I’ll never take a break from them because that’s my unique selling point.”
In the show produced by Balaji Telefilms, Barsatein- Mausam Pyaar Ka, Shivangi assumes the role of Aradhna Saini, a journalist, while Kushal Tondon takes on the character of Reyansh Lamba. The series depicts both actors as career-driven individuals and revolves around their love-hate relationship. In addition to Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon, the show also features Ali Khan, Preet Kaur Nayak, Tanaaz Irani, Poorva Gokhale, and several others in significant roles.
Barsatein- Mausam Pyaar Ka premiered on July 10, 2023, and airs from Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. on the Sony Liv TV network.
