Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is making all the right noises. The drama series, which boasts an ensemble cast, is basking in the praises from all quarters. Released on May 1, Heeramandi has impressed the fans and critics alike, flooding the internet with innumerable posts. Well, guess who is the latest one to join the bandwagon? It is the popular dairy brand Amul that has paid tribute to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial. On Wednesday, Amul celebrated the series through its creative tropical. The brand dropped a special post on its official Instagram account, featuring the illustration of Heeramandi’s cast with some wordplay.

Drawing inspiration from one of its posters, Amul shared the post with six women. They can be seen wearing golden lehengas, sarees and jewellery, just like in the series. With the face of Amul’s mascot, these women can be seen positioned exactly like Heeramandi’s leading ladies in its poster. We can see them holding barely eaten slices of bread and butter in their hands. FYI: These illustrations represent the leading ladies of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The series features Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sharmin Segal Mehta in important roles. The text on the tropical read, “Har Heeraine ke liye!”, with “Amul Glittering taste!” written at the bottom. Sharing the poster the brand wrote, “Amul Topical: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama series impresses audiences…”

Several fans filled the comments section with their views. Countless praised the brand’s creativity, while many exhibited their wordplay in the comment section. The official Instagram page of Netflix wrote, “Heeramandi dekhne main dairy mat karo. [Don’t delay in watching Heeramandi].” We hope you noticed that wordplay in “Deri” and “Dairy”.

A fan commented, “Heeramandi k amul-ya abhushano ka nazara.”

Another wrote, “That’s the cutest advertisement I have ever seen.”

“Sonakshi’s sketch does full justice,” claimed a fan.

Apart from these, the comments section was filled with many stickers from Heeramandi.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Amul paid tribute to a Bollywood project. Last month, Amul celebrated Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila with a fun illustration. Amul shared a special post, featuring an illustrative image of actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh as Amar Singh Chamkila and Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot. While Diljit’s illustration can be seen in a blue kurta, Parineeti is dressed in a pink salwar. The two can be seen holding Amul butter toasts as they perform on stage.

The text on the post read, “Ek Chamach Khila” and “Punjab da buttar” at the bottom. Along with the post Amul wrote, “Amul Topical: Diljit Dosanjh makes waves in the Imtiaz Ali/AR Rahman hit musical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila!”
