Whenever something unexpected happens, social media users often claim that The Simpsons predicted it earlier. Recently, fans of the iconic show think they’ve found another example. They believe that they saw the rise of Hailey Welch, aka the Hawk Tuah Girl, who became an online star after discussing her unique technique on Tim and Dee TV about how to make men crazy. Welch’s method is very much similar to the tactic used by Laura, a character from The Simpsons Season 4, who Bart Simpson had a crush on. In both cases, the women have the unusual habit of spitting in their man’s hands. This quirky connection has led many to believe that the show once again accurately predicted the trend.

Filmed on the streets of Tennessee, USA, the interviewer asks “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” Welch’s surprising reply was, “Ohh you gotta give it that Hawk Tuah. Spit on that thang.” Her unusual act captured a lot of attention, which turned her into a viral sensation and led to people making numerous memes. Sharing the clip on X, a user wrote, “Hawk Tuah in the 90’s vs Hawk Tuah now.”

Reacting to the clip, a user wrote, “Wow, the Simpsons predict another one.”

Another shared, “Bart was in loooooovvvee.”

“They can’t keep getting away with this,” a comment read.

In episode eight of The Simpsons, titled New Kid on the Block, Bart is shown having feelings for Laura. As they sit together, Laura jokingly predicts Bart’s future, by telling him that he’ll become wealthy, and will have his own mansion and tennis court. Moving forward, she spits on Bart’s palm, claiming it’s his swimming pool.

After Hailey Welch became famous for her viral interview, a report from Mirror US revealed that she lost her job as a preschool teacher. Carla Reed, the Director of Epstein Day School, explained the situation, saying that since the interview, children at the school have started copying her behaviour. Although the school has a lot of respect for Hailey, they decided they couldn’t keep her as a staff member due to the negative influence on the students.
