Prime Hydration, which is one of North America's most popular drink companies, in a bid to expand its brand, curated and released its own official map on Fortnite.

Usually sold at an average price of $2.50 to $3 per bottle, the Fortnite Red vs Blue Prime bottles are now being sold for over $163K in an eBay auction. One of the winners of the recently held Prime Hydration’s Fortnite Red vs Blue competition was seen putting up the winnings for sale, with the bidding price reaching absurd numbers. Notably, popular influencers and professional boxers, Logan Paul and KSI recently collaborated to design an official Fortnite map inspired by Prime, further featuring a traditional Red vs Blue battle format.

Prime Hydration, which is one of North America’s most popular drink companies, in a bid to expand its brand, curated and released its own official map on Fortnite. The players created the maps to bring a unique experience to the battle royale through various avenues like racing, prop hunting and mini-battles. Well, this led to the Prime Red vs Blue map. As players dropped down into the Red vs Blue format, the top ones on the leaderboards would be eligible to win official Prime merch, and the limited items wouldn’t be sold in stores.

One of the winners has now come forward to list his rewards on eBay UK, selling them for over $163,000. “These were won from the Fortnite X Prime event/Tournament. Over 100,000 were beaten in order to win these bottles from PRIME themselves!” the listing read.

Besides the full and sealed Red vs Blue Prime bottles, the lucky bidder also offered the official Prime bag for sale. Going by the numbers, the lucky winner nabbed the coveted prize of around $54,600 a bottle. Otherwise, going for $2.50–$3 per bottle, these were sold for around 20,000 times the price of the average one on the shelf.

In a tweet shared by Dexerto on Monday, April 15, a screenshot of the ‘Rare Limited Edition Fortnite PRIME Hydration Red vs Blue Exclusive Bottles’ showed the bundle being listed with the unexpected pricing. Social media also hopped in and joined the conversation.

A user wrote, “Man that is such a mid drink for its price & taste,” while another one hilariously commented, “Someone’s mom and dad are gonna be PISSED when they see that on their spending history.”

A user shared his experience with the drink and wrote, “How do people genuinely drink this stuff? It tastes awful.” Another one praised the company’s tactic and wrote, “They’re not just bottles, they’re pieces of gaming history! The Fortnite community never fails to surprise.”
