'India Isn't For Beginners': Locals Force Chain Snatcher Dance To Bhojpuri Song In ROFL Video
When apprehended red-handed snatching a gold chain, the crowd thrashed a thief and then forced him to dance to the beats of a Bhojpuri song.

There are many instances of violence against thieves and pickpockets, sparking concerns about the law and safety. Individuals accused of theft have been severely beaten when caught red-handed, sometimes even to death. However, in a hilarious yet unusual incident, a crowd recently planned a unique punishment for a thief in NCR. When allegedly apprehended red-handed snatching a gold chain, the crowd, rather than handing the thief over to the authorities, first thrashed him up for stealing. He was then forced to dance to the beats of a Bhojpuri song. Yes, we aren’t kidding.

Surrounded by a group of men armed with wooden logs, the alleged chain snatcher grooved much to the crowd’s amusement. As the video progressed, the men punishing the alleged snatcher were also seen shaking a leg along with the accused.

Giving the world a glimpse of his dancing skills, the crowd captured the video and shared it on the internet. Posted on X, the clip went viral in no time, with people sharing their views over this unique ‘punishment’.

The post was captioned, “Thief got beaten by the crowd and forced to dance on Song, Somewhere in the NCR region.”

With close to 9 lakh views and counting, the viral video is continuing to garner the attention of social media users. People couldn’t hold back but react after watching the video. Some expressed that the public shouldn’t have done anything like this and handed him over to police, while a majority of people found it funny and called it the best way of teaching a lesson.

An X user wrote, “Not a single day without entertainment in our country.”

“This is harassment, if he has done wrong call the police and arrest him,” read a comment.

Another added, “THAT’S JUST SIMPLY AWESOME…. Great way of teaching a lesson and punishment. He will always remember this…”

“Now everyone will say. India is not for beginners,” posted a person.

An individual also noted, “Ye market mein Naya hai, pehle kuto phir dance karwao (This is new. First hit him and then, make him dance).”

“He is never going to snatch any chain again,” said someone.

In another surprising incident, a thief stole money from Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple’s Hundi — the temple priest’s office, only to place it on a school’s balcony. The Govt Primary School Hemmady in Hemmadi village, Karnataka, found money worth Rs 45,000 in a green bag lying on the balcony.
