'It’s Disheartening': Internet Upset As Woman Yells At Elderly Driver Over 'Luggage Handling'

A shocking video from Mumbai has come to light that shows a woman yelling at an elderly cab driver, reportedly over the handling of her luggage. The zoomed-in video was taken from a high-rise apartment. In the video, the woman keeps shouting at the cab driver, who appears calm and trying to reason with her. Though the woman is shouting, it is unclear what she is saying. However, the person who recorded this video, alleged that the woman threatened the driver with a fake molestation case.

Aranya Chatterjee, a lawyer, shared this video on his LinkedIn account and wrote, “The woman became furious with an elderly cab driver because he was placing her luggage through a slightly open front window glass."

He added, “Shockingly, she even threatened to file a false molestation charge against him, saying, “Chhed chhad ke case laga dungi tujhpe tab tujhe akal ayegi saman kaise rakhte hain" (I’ll file a molestation case against you, then you’ll understand how to place a luggage)." Aranya Chatterjee concluded by saying that he reached out to the cab driver and assured him that he would take his case pro bono if the woman filed a case against him.

This post has gathered over 600 reactions in just one day. A LinkedIn user commented on this post, “Dash Cams: external and internal both need to be mandated in public transport to address such NUISANCE by passengers. Disgusting."

Another person wrote, “Such behaviour you can see on trains, aeroplanes, hospitals, roadsides, even in schools too. I think before building a character the Government should take a decision to start the classes for having the civic senses, which must be necessary for all. All means for all."

A LinkedIn user observed, “Interestingly, if we observe carefully we can see that the said woman in the video probably represents a well-known company and mostly does a wellness job (giving massage/ therapy ) since she is carrying a folded bed with her (see the big black luggage). Just hope her employer notices her misbehavior which is happening during the course of employment."

Someone else commented, “It’s disheartening to see individuals exploiting their rights at the expense of others. Such actions undermine the integrity of our legal system and the principles of justice. Holding these individuals accountable is essential to ensuring that everyone’s rights are respected and protected."
