We are constantly left surprised by the world of social media. It never fails to wow us with some incredible content, whether it’s a humorous or shocking video. And this time, a clip of a leopard hunting a monkey captures the amazing spectacle of nature in action. A video of a leopard hunting a monkey in Rajasthan’s Sariska Tiger Reserve has gone viral after a group of people saw the unexpected show of nature in action. The chilling scene occurred in the Pandupol area on March 19 and was filmed by several tourists as well as two guides – identified as Arjun and Raju, according to India Today.

The video was posted on YouTube by a handle named AbhyuSharmaVideos. Within a few hours of being shared, the clip has collected over 11,200 views.

In the heartbreaking video, the monkey is seen sprinting for its life in front of the tourists’ vehicles while frantically trying to escape the predator. But the leopard, with its incredible agility, moved quickly to catch up with its prey. The leopard killed the monkey and successfully captured it in a matter of seconds. The onlookers were left in awe of the sheer strength and effectiveness of nature’s predators as the leopard withdrew after securing its prey and made its way back towards the jungle.

Meanwhile, tourists in the background could be heard shouting and screaming as they witnessed the remarkable spectacle unfold.

The video, which highlighted the harsh reality of life in the wild and the never-ending cycle of predator and prey, has attracted a lot of attention since it was shared online. With its vast expanse of 886 square kilometres, the Sariska Tiger Reserve is brimming with wildlife and rich in biodiversity. The tiger reserve offers an enthralling mosaic of nature’s marvels, with over 300 leopards, deer, reindeer, nilgai, chital, and a variety of bird species living there in addition to a healthy population of 33 tigers.

A similar video, showing a leopard chasing a monkey in the treetops, went viral on social media last year. The video opens with a leopard chasing a monkey. It even climbs the tree in an attempt to grab the monkey by jumping after it. When it fails to capture the money, the leopard attempts again. This time, the leopard captures the monkey with a lunge from the tree.

The rare video was shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda on X (Formally Twitter).
