Leopard, Hyenas And Crocodiles Turn Forest Into Battleground; Watch
The man noticed a group of Impalas were approaching a pack of hyenas and instantly knew something excitement was about to happen.

In South Africa’s Marloth Park, IT consultant Travis Carreira had an extraordinary wildlife experience. He spoke about the incident with Latest Sightings which involved a leopard, hyenas and crocodiles, while Impala was the unfortunate victim. Things began when Carreira’s friends spotted a leopard in the park. Eager to witness the scene live, the IT consultant joined them after work. Upon arrival, he observed the leopard’s unsuccessful hunting attempts. As the sun was setting, they noticed a group of Impalas were approaching a pack of hyenas and instantly sensed something exciting was about to happen. As he began recording, the leopard suddenly caught an Impala, however, his meal was stolen by a hyena. The leopard continued to snatch his feast back but ended up attracting more hyenas and two crocodiles.

According to Carreira, “The impala was still alive at this point and the hyena began dragging it up the hill to a safe spot to eat it. The hyena had a firm grip on the impala, even though it was still kicking there was no way it could break free. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed more movement. Two massive crocodiles emerged from the river, complicating the situation. The larger crocodile went straight for the impala that was still kicking in the hyena’s jaws. Once the crocodile got a hold of the impala and crushed it with their powerful jaw that was the end of the impala’s life."

Travis Carreira elaborated the scene further and explained that the leopard initially made a few attempts to reclaim the Impala but was unsuccessful. The chaos then attracted another, larger hyena, which appeared more confident and immediately engaged with the crocodiles to steal the dead animal. Encouraged by its companion, the first hyena joined the fight. Despite their efforts, the hyenas were only able to snatch some leftover meat, as the majority of the Impala was already eaten by the crocodile.

Reacting to the clip, a user wrote, “The impala wasn’t even in the fight, she was the prize."

Another shared, “These videos make me appreciate just how good my days really are."

“Those crocodiles showed up with such swagger," a comment read.

An individual wrote, “Africa is a constant battle royal."

A user added, “Everyone moved back as soon as the crocodile entered."

Since the video was shared on Latest Sighting’s YouTube channel, it has gone viral and garnered over 8 million views.
