‘Looks Incredible’: UK Chef’s Pakoda Recipe Gets A Thumbs Up From Desis
A UK-based chef, Jake Dryan, shared a video online where he prepared mouthwatering mixed vegetable pakoras.

As the monsoon rains continue to pour in, there’s nothing quite like indulging in some spicy, tangy pakoras with a side of mint chutney to elevate those cozy moments. Pairing these crispy delights with a steaming cup of tea creates a combination that is simply irresistible. Recently, a UK-based chef shared a video online where he whipped a batch of mouth-watering mixed vegetable pakoras and it quickly garnered the interest of social media users.

In the footage, Jake Dryan kicks off by announcing, “Today I am going to make some delicious mixed vegetable pakoras.” He starts by finely dicing carrots, onions and cabbage. Then, he tosses them with some spices including red chilli powder and salt along with toasted fennel and sesame seeds for added flavour. Next, to bind everything, Dryan incorporates chickpea flour (besan) and mixes it thoroughly before frying the pakoras to crispy perfection.

Dryan also prepares a fresh green chutney. He blends coriander leaves, green chillies, lemon juice and ginger with a splash of water until smooth, creating the perfect dipping sauce for the pakoras.

Since being shared online, Dryan’s video has taken the internet by storm, racking up over 4.5 lakh views and sparking a flurry of reactions. The comment section is buzzing with love for his take on pakoras.

One user, admiring his technique, wrote, “Love how you added salt with fingers and squeezed lemon with your hand…. Seen many non Indians trying Indian dishes lately but it’s insane how you add Indianness.”

Another chimed in, “Looks incredible man! Perfect snack when it’s raining outside.”

Someone else shared, “Wow! Pakoras are best in monsoon season..U can even try moong dal pakora and can add green chutney with grated radish.”

“Yummm perfect for our current weather here!… and polished off with a nice masala cha!” another person wrote.

A fan of Dryan’s cooking style commented, “When made well (or the right veggies), I prefer pakoras over samosas. And yours look delicious, Jake! I could eat them all.”

Another user shared a tip, writing, “Looks awesome..bon appetit just a tip, instead of ginger you may add garlic pods, it gives quite a pungent taste.”

One Instagram user humourously remarked, “As always Jake your cooking looks fabulous! You’re more Indian than me and I was born and raised in Mumbai lol.”

The praise kept rolling in with remarks like “Ohh you are such an amazing chef!” and “Looks incredible!!”
