Man Criticises Store Owners For Not Giving Chair To Security Guards, Internet Reacts

Recently, a man took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to criticise store owners for not giving chairs to security staff. The post has created a buzz on the internet to which several people have reacted.

The viral post features a pic of a middle-aged security guard in his uniform doing his work. In the picture, the face of the guard is not revealed. He can be seen standing outside an outlet. The post was shared by an X user Satbir Singh (@thesatbir). Sharing the picture of a security guard, he wrote, “Store owners, if you employ security staff, please give them a chair. Many are middle-aged (early retirement from armed forces etc) and are on their feet at the same spot from 10 am to 9-10 pm. Every day. Torture.”

Following Satbir’s post, many users in the comments section joined in and criticised store owners. “Never understood why stores don’t have chairs,” wrote one user. “Fully agree with you these security personnel need to be treated with respect and dignity,” pointed out another. “Completely agree and this happens only in India, especially in Delhi / NCR. Sad but the reality,” wrote a third. “This post reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where George insists on getting a chair for the security bloke and after it’s arranged for, the security guard ends up sleeping through a robbery at that store,” mentioned a fourth person.
