A heartwarming mystery emerged in the US. It resembles a true Bollywood film story where a love letter makes its way to someone’s house and the person who comes across the romantic story hidden inside the paper takes the pledge to unite two souls. Yes, you heard it right. The mystery we are talking about emerged in Grand Rapids, Michigan after a man named Rick Trojanowski stumbled upon a love letter hidden in a toolbox he got for himself from a farm auction in 2017.
In what appears more surprising, the letter discovered by him was penned a staggering 70 years ago by Army Corporal Irvin G Fleming. He wrote the letter addressing Mary Lee Cribbs, residing in Grand Rapids. Written from San Francisco, the letter had heartfelt apologies written on it for a past disagreement. It was full of emotions suggesting unwavering love and Fleming’s desire to marry Cribbs after his return from service.
Rick Trojanowski, after he read the letter, took it upon himself to find the rightful owner or their descendants and hand over the heartfelt note to them. Rick has stepped in with the decision to unravel the story behind this forgotten love letter. He, now, hopes to trace the lives of Fleming and Cribbs through local media and online resources in his quest to find out whether the couple’s love story concluded as anticipated in the letter.
Rick, while speaking to WXMI-TV, expressed, “It’s almost like a true love story. People just don’t write things like that nowadays; it’s almost like poetry.” He added, “I really don’t have any use for it and if we can find the people it belongs to, the kids, I think it’d be really neat for them.”
The unexpected finding by Rick left many eager to know what happened to the people mentioned in the letter. Besides, it is a testament to the strength of love and the impact it has on people. Well, it will be quite an intriguing development if Rick manages to find out the lovebirds and unravel whether they ended up together.
