Shah Rukh Khan Picking Up Dicarded KKR Flags After IPL Match Speaks Volumes, Watch Video

If there was ever any doubt about Shah Rukh Khan’s down-to-earth nature and his status as the most humble, the ‘King of Bollywood’ dispelled it during the KKR vs LSG match on Sunday. As the actor and Kolkata Knight Riders owner cheered for his team at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens stadium, a fan’s video showed him picking up discarded KKR flags from the seats and floor of the VIP section.

In the footage, SRK could be seen grabbing a handful of KKR flags and passing them to his bodyguard. The crowd erupted, chanting his name, pleading for a wave. After cleaning up the area, Shah Rukh turned around, sending his fans a flying kiss.

Soon, many SRK fans shared the clip on social media, lauding him for his kindness. “Throughout the match, Shah Rukh Khan was picking up the KKR flags which fell on the ground. @KKRiders is so close to his heart. And such small gestures are the reason why SRK is king of hearts. Also after the match, Shah Rukh met a few players and fans on the cricket pitch,” one fan wrote.

“Shah Rukh Khan respects everything related to KKR. Collecting flags after the match all by himself..Unbelievable down to earth guy,” remarked another. A third fan added, “KKR isn’t just a team—it’s SRK’s beloved 17-year-old baby, nurtured with love, sweat, tears & triumphs!! Witnessed his emotional rollercoaster when KKR felt short on the field!”

Meanwhile, in the match, Mitchell Starc took a brilliant three-wicket haul while Phil Salt smashed an incredible 89 not out as KKR thrashed LSG by eight wickets. With the win, KKR ensured they occupied the second spot in the points table. Next up, the team will take on Rajasthan on Tuesday at Eden Gardens as the games come thick and fast for the two-time champions.
