There is a lot of moral policing across different cultures when it comes to relationships, Polyamory is still frowned upon and not many people practice it openly, fearing a social backlash. Raymond, Tiffani, Hammy and Jiselle are not among them. They share a polyamorous relationship for the world to see and throw caution to the wind as far as fear of social backlash is concerned. While such relationships take time to develop, these four came together almost at the same time. Tiffany, Raymond, Hammy and Jiselle were active on Twitch, a live streaming service that focuses mainly on video game live streaming. All four are avid gamers and met on Twitch.
Initially, the messages they all exchanged were focused on gaming which soon turned flirtatious. Tiffani told the Love Don’t Judge podcast: “When we all started talking, I was probably the first person to utter the words polyamorous. I would look forward to spending time online with them. The chemistry between all of us was just so natural – it felt like they were supposed to be part of my life.”
All four live under the same roof but have separate bedrooms. More than often, they jump into each others’ beds and have a sleepover, Tiffany explained. Hammy explains that many people believe Raymond, living with three women, is driven by his desires: “People will assume that we three aren’t truly happy and are only here for him. They think that women in poly relationships lack their own free will. That has never been the case with us.” She reveals that it was Raymond who initially had reservations about the polyamorous relationship. He admits he was actually sceptical about it
Raymond says that jealousy can also be an issue in a poly relationship. But, it is not necessary to be related to physical relationships. Amidst the constant criticism from trolls, the important thing for the four is that the basis of their relationship is love and it is not a cause of trouble for anyone.
